Grape harvest in Tokaj-Hegyalja
The grapes ripen on the hillside through autumn, ready around September, and you can join the harvest. Pick the bunches together in the family vineyard, then taste the freshly pressed must and earlier vintages in the Hajnalhozó Cellar. A day that starts as work and stays with you as a shared experience.

National Blue Trail (Zemplén section)
One of the most beautiful sections of Hungary's National Blue Trail passes through Zemplén. You can step directly into nature from the guesthouse, the forest and the trails literally begin a few steps away. Castle ruins, beech forests, viewpoints.

The distances are by car, and each castle lies in a different direction. On foot, the National Blue Trail links four of them, Boldogkő, Regéc, Sátoraljaújhely and Füzér, with Sárospatak and Füzérradvány reachable on a short detour.
Füzér Castle
13th-century castle under ongoing reconstruction, both the lower and upper sections are open to visitors. One of Hungary's 7 natural wonders, perched on a volcanic cone.

A true ruin castle on two rocky peaks, blown up in 1686. The childhood home of Prince Ferenc II Rákóczi. Steep, but the view is worth it. The access road is in poor condition.

Megyer-hegyi Tengerszem, via ferrata
A lake formed from rainwater at the bottom of an abandoned millstone quarry, surrounded by vertical rock faces. On the via ferrata route you can traverse directly above the water surface, one of Hungary's most spectacular iron-road routes. Minutes from Sárospatak, easily reached from Hercegkút.

Rowing on the Bodrog
